COMPANY GREEN BEANS 
2 (10 oz.) pkgs. frozen French-style green beans
1/4 c. butter
2 tbsp. flour
1 1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
2 c. dairy half and half (or milk)
1 (1 lb.) can bean sprouts, drained (optional)
1 (5 oz.) can water chestnuts, drained and sliced
1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 c. slivered toasted almonds

Cook green beans in boiling salted water until barely tender; drain. Meanwhile, melt butter; blend in flour. Add seasonings and half-and- half. Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture comes to a boil and is thickened.

Place half of beans in greased 2-quart casserole. Add half of each: bean sprouts, water chestnuts, cheese, and white sauce. Repeat layers. Top with almonds. Bake in 350 degree oven until bubbly.
