MOUNTAIN TOP PIE 
1 stick butter
1 can (No. 2) fruit
1 c. sifted flour
1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. milk

Melt butter in oblong pan, 13 x 9 inch. Heat fruit in a saucepan; add sugar to taste. Pour in pan. Sift flour once, measure, then add sugar, baking powder, salt and milk. Pour over fruit. Bake at 375 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes.
