TURKEY 
12 - 15 lb. turkey
7 sticks butter
2 long sheets heavy foil
Salt & pepper
Lg. roasting pan
Water

Thaw turkey. Remove inside parts. Wash. Place turkey on crossed foil in pan. Melt 2 sticks butter. Add salt and pepper. Pour over turkey. Put 1/2 stick butter under each wing. Put 2 sticks butter between each leg and body. Put 2 sticks butter inside body (each end). Pull foil over turkey, fill pan with water. Bake 3 to 4 hours at 275 to 300 degrees.

DRESSING WITH TURKEY:

1 skillet cornbread
2 sticks butter
6 eggs
1 bunch celery, chopped fine
2 or 3 onions, chopped fine
Sage (1/4 c., taste & add more if needed)
Broth from turkey
2 or 3 slices bread

Mix all ingredients. Bake 30 to 45 minutes at 350 degrees or until done. Stir once or twice while cooking. Will be thin, but will thicken as it cools.
