RED RICE AND PINK BEANS PUERTO
RICO
 
1 sm. onion, chopped
1/2 green pepper, chopped
1 tsp. salt & black pepper
1 tsp. clove garlic
Sazon goya
2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce goyo
1 1/4 c. Mazola oil
4 c. rice Goya
5 c. hot water

Heat oil in saucepan and fry the onion, green pepper, garlic and the salt, black pepper, sazon, red beans, tomato sauce. Add the rice and the hot water until becoming dry, covered about 15 minutes and cook rice until done, for 1 1/2 hours. Serve on platter.
