VEGETABLE DIP 
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
2/3 c. Heinz chili sauce
2 tbsp. minced fresh onion
1/2 tsp. chili powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper

Chill fresh vegetables, potato or tortilla chips.

Beat cheese until fluffy. Blend in chili sauce and remaining ingredients. Cover and chill. Serve with vegetables or chips. Makes 1 2/3 cups.

I've been searching for this recipe for quite awhile. My mom made this in the 50's, and served with ripple potato chips. She got the recipe from a the wife of a couple that they used to socialize with.
