DOUBLE SUGAR COOKIES | |
1 c. granulated sugar 1 c. powdered sugar 1 c. butter flavored Crisco 1 c. salad oil 2 eggs 4 c. flour 1 tsp. cream of tartar 1 tsp. vanilla or lemon flavoring 1 tsp. baking soda Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream sugars, butter or Crisco, and oil. Add eggs and flavoring and mix well. Gradually add flour that has been sifted with cream of tartar and soda. Mix well. Roll dough to size of walnut, roll in sugar, place on cookie sheet two inches apart. Flatten with glass dipped in sugar. Bake 10 to 12 minutes. Makes seven to 10 dozen. |
