HAMBURGER STEW 
2 qts. water
1 1/2 lbs. hamburger
Celery flakes or dried celery leaves
2 onions, chopped
1 (28 oz.) can tomatoes
1/3 lb. elbow macaroni
Salt and pepper

Put water in a large saucepan. Add hamburger, celery, and onion; bring to a boil over medium heat. Cut up tomatoes and add along with liquid from can. Bring to a boil again and add macaroni. Cook until tender. Season to taste before serving hot. This is a Depression-era family favorite. Serves 4.
