PEANUT - LAYERED BROWNIES
4 sq. Baker's unsweetened chocolate
3/4 c. (1 1/2 sticks) butter
2 c. granulated sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. all-purpose flour
1 c. chopped peanuts

PEANUT BUTTER LAYER:

1 c. peanut butter
1/2 c. powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

GLAZE:

4 sq. Baker's semi-sweet chocolate
1/4 c. (1/2 stick) butter

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Microwave unsweetened chocolate and 3/4 cup butter in large microwavable bowl on HIGH 2 minutes or until butter is melted. Stir until chocolate is completely melted. Stir granulated sugar into melted chocolate mixture. Mix in eggs and 1 teaspoon vanilla until well blended. Stir in flour and peanuts. Spread in greased 13 x 9 inch pan.

Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until toothpick inserted into center comes out with fudgy crumbs. Do not overbake. Cool in pan.

Mix peanut butter, powdered sugar and 1 teaspoon vanilla in separate bowl until well blended and smooth. Spread over brownies. Microwave semi-sweet chocolate and 1/4 cup butter in small microwavable bowl on HIGH 2 minutes or until butter is melted. Stir until chocolate is completely melted. Spread over peanut butter layer. Cool until set. Cut into squares. Makes about 24 brownies. Prep time: 20 minutes; baking time: 30 to 35 minutes.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
