“EASY APPLE CRISP” IS IN:

EASY APPLE CRISP
1 cup sugar
2 tsp. lemon juice
1/4 cup water
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
6 large apples, peeled and sliced
3/4 cup flour
1/4 tsp. salt
6 tbsp. butter

Combine 1/2 cup sugar, lemon juice, water and cinnamon in bottom of small baking pan. Slice in apples. Blend remaining 1/2 cup sugar, flour, salt and butter until crumbly. Spread over apples and pat smooth.

Bake at 375°F. for 40-50 minutes, until apples are tender and crust is browned.

Serve hot with ice cream. This is a good recipe for apple crisp if you don't like the over-sugary oatmeal taste. It's basically a rectangular apple pie.

I shared some of this apple crisp with a dear friend, she told me after enjoying it that if I want to get her something for her 40th birthday, a pan of this apple crisp would work! Making it for her this Friday ! Love the stuff on the bottom and the topping, I use yellow apples, yummy !

Love this recipe! I'm a terrible cook so making something that my family enjoys is a pretty good accomplishment. I just made it for the second time today and it's just as yummy as the first!
