1 c. butter (2 sticks) use butter only
1 c. vegetable oil
1 c. powdered sugar
1 c. granulated sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 tsp. salt

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream butter, oil and both sugars. Mix in all ingredients and beat well. Roll a teaspoon of dough into a ball and roll in granulated sugar. Bake about 12 minutes.
