3/4 c. butter flavored Crisco
1 1/4 c. packed brown sugar
2 tbsp. milk
1 tbsp. vanilla
1 egg
1 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 c. chocolate chips

Heat oven to 375°F. Combine Crisco, brown sugar, milk and vanilla in large bowl. Beat with mixer until well blended. Beat egg into mixture. Combine flour, salt and baking soda. Mix into creamed mixture just until blended. Stir in chocolate chips. Drop by rounded tablespoonful onto ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake 8 to 10 minutes. Cool 2 minutes on pan and move to cooling racks.

Makes 3 dozen cookies.
