ORANGE GLAZED GARDEN CARROTS | |
1 1/2 lb. baby carrots, pared 1 1/2 c. water 1 tbsp. butter 2 tbsp. brown sugar 1 1/2 tbsp. cornstarch 1/4 tsp. salt Few dashes mace Freshly ground pepper 3/4 c. orange juice Put carrots in saute pan; add water. Bring to boil; reduce heat and simmer about 9 minutes. Drain. Melt butter over low heat. Stir in sugar, cornstarch, seasonings; cook and stir for 1 minute. Add orange slowly. Cook and stir until thick; pour over drained carrots. |
