NEVER FAIL REFRIGERATOR PICKLES
(SWEET)
 
Makes 2 quarts pickles.

Stir and mix the following:

6-8 cups cucumbers
1 c. onions, thinly sliced
2 c. sugar
1 c. vinegar
2 tbsp. salt
1 tsp. celery seed
1/2 c. thinly sliced green pepper (optional)
1 tsp. "koubabas" (allspice) for a hot, spicy, sweet taste (optional)

Refrigerate, stirring often, overnight (8 hours). Keeps well refrigerated for 1 to 2 months.
