REFRIGERATOR BREAD AND BUTTER
PICKLES
 
7 c. cucumbers, sliced
1 green pepper, sliced (optional)
1 c. vinegar
1 tsp. celery seed
1 c. onion, sliced
2 c. sugar
1 tbsp. salt

Combine cucumbers, onion and green pepper.

In separate bowl or large measuring cup combine sugar, vinegar, salt and celery seed. Stir to dissolve sugar. Pour over cucumbers and mix well. Cover and store in refrigerator. Wait 24 hours before enjoying. Pickles will keep about 3 months in the refrigerator.

Options: Add a little garlic or dill or oregano or Tabasco sauce.
