FRANCES STEFAN'S PINK STRAWBERRY

1 box Pillsbury Angel Food Cake Mix
1 1/2 tsp. fresh strawberries
1 pt. heavy whipping cream
1/4 c. confectioners' sugar
Few drops red food coloring
1 cold deep narrow mixing bowl
1 cold pair of beaters

Prepare cake mix according to package directions in angel food cake pan. Bake and let cake cool.

Select 6 to 8 of the nicest looking strawberries for decoration. Wash; leave hulls on; set aside. Wash, drain, and hull remaining strawberries. Slice berries and spoon on top of cake.

With electric mixer beat until stiff heavy whipping cream, confectioners' sugar, and a few drops of red food coloring (should be a pale pink). Frost cake with whipped cream and place whole strawberries around top of cake.
