FLOUR TORTILLAS 
2 c. flour
1 tbsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/3 c. shortening
2/3 c. milk or warm water

Mix all dry ingredients in a bowl. Cut in shortening. Add milk or water and knead until smooth. Roll into ball and cover with towel for 30 minutes. Break dough into 6 or 8 balls. Using rolling pin, roll dough balls into round tortillas, approximately 6 inches in diameter. Place on medium hot griddle.
