1 c. butter
1 c. white sugar
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs, beaten
3 c. flour
1 1/4 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. sour milk or buttermilk
2 c. chopped apples

Cream butter and sugars. Add beaten eggs. Sift flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and cinnamon together. Add alternately with sour milk to sugar mixture and beat well. Blend in chipped apples, mixing well. Pour into 9 x 12-inch greased and floured pan. Sprinkle with mixture of 1/2 cup sugar, 1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon, 1/2 cup nuts. Bake at 300 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
