PRIZE WINNING POUND CAKE 
2 sticks butter
1/2 c. shortening
3 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
4 eggs
3 c. flour
1 c. oil
1 1/2 tsp. lemon flavor

Cream butter and shortening together. Add sugar; cream well. Add eggs, one at a time; beat well. Add flour and milk alternately and beat well. Add flavoring. Pour into a well greased and floured Bundt pan.

To Bake: Start in a cold oven set at 325 degrees for 1 hour; then 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes. Do not open oven door for first hour.
