DUTCH ST. NIKOLAS COOKIES | |
1 c. butter 1 c. shortening 2 c. white sugar 1/2 c. sour cream 1/2 tsp. baking soda 4 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 tsp. nutmeg 1/2 tsp. cloves 1/2 c. chopped nuts 4 1/2 c. flour Mix first four ingredients. Sift dry ingredients together then add to first mixture. Knead and make into long thin rolls 1-2 inches in diameter. Place in refrigerator overnight or freeze. Slice and bake 10-12 minutes at 350 degrees. (No eggs in this recipe.) |
