PEANUT BUTTER BONBONS | |
2 cups peanut butter 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter 1 (1 lb.) box confectioners' sugar 3 cups Rice Krispies cereal In a saucepan, melt 2 cups peanut butter and 1/2 cup butter. In a large bowl, combine confectioners' sugar and cereal. Pour peanut butter mixture over cereal mixture. Blend together with hands. Form into 1/2-inch balls. Chill until firm. DIPPING CHOCOLATE: 1 (16 oz.) pkg. butterscotch pieces 1 (16 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips Melt butterscotch and chocolate chips in double boiler. Dip chilled balls in coating (use toothpicks or a dipping fork). Place on waxed paper. Chill before serving. Note: If you do not have a double boiler, a large glass bowl resting on top of a saucepan of water may be used. Makes 100 candies. Submitted by: Cynthia Moore |
