COCONUT POUND CAKE 
3 c. cake flour (sift before measuring & be sure cups are level)
1 tsp. baking powder
Pinch of salt (add salt & baking powder to flour)
2 1/2 c. sugar (sift sugar before measuring & be sure cups are level)
1 1/2 c. Crisco (be sure to use Crisco)
1 c. sweet milk
5 lg. eggs
1 c. angel flake coconut
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. coconut flavoring (be sure to use this flavoring)

Cream sugar and Crisco, add eggs one at a time. Then add all the milk, then add flour mixture in 3 parts, stirring well after each. Add flavoring and coconut. Pour into large tube pan and bake at 300 degrees for 1 1/2 hours (or longer if necessary).
