PUMPKIN COOKIES AND ICING 
1 c. Crisco
1 c. sugar
1 c. butternut squash
1 egg
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt

Cream shortening, sugar, and squash. Add eggs and mix well. Add dry ingredients. Drop by teaspoons on greased cookie sheet and bake at 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes.

FROSTING:

3 tbsp. butter
4 tsp. milk
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 c. confectioners' sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

Cook butter, milk, and brown sugar until dissolved. Cool. Add powdered sugar and vanilla. Spread over cookies.
