RUSSIAN WALNUT TORTE 
8 oz. walnut meats, ground
8 eggs
1 c. sugar
1 1/2 tbsp. bread crumbs
Dash of vanilla
Orange marmalade or cherry jam

2 bowls - separate eggs. Beat whites until stiff. Beat sugar and yolks until light in color. Fold in egg whites, walnuts and bread crumbs and mix lightly with beater. Prepare 2 springform pans with butter and flour. Bake at 350 degrees for 1/2 hour.

ICING:

Beat until smooth and spreadable 1 pound sweet butter and confectioners' sugar and 3 teaspoons instant coffee (dilute in few drops of hot water). Spread with jam and icing - 1st layer top with second layer and then ice whole torte. Will freeze beautifully.
