MOCHA POLKA WALNUT TORTE | |
1 lb. pkg. brownie mix 2 eggs 1/4 c. water 3/4 c. walnuts, chopped coarsely 2 c. whipping cream 1/2 c. brown sugar, firmly packed 2 tbsp. instant coffee Walnut halves Follow cake method for brownies on package. Stir eggs and water into brownie mix, then add chopped walnuts. Spoon into 2 greased 9" layer cake pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Turn on racks to cool. Whip cream until it begins to thicken. Gradually add brown sugar and instant coffee. Continue beating until creamy. Spread between layers of torte and swirl over top and sides. Halved walnuts on top. Chill overnight. |
