OATMEAL CHIP COOKIES 
Blend:

1 c. Crisco
3/4 c. brown sugar
3/4 c. white sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. hot water

Mix dry:

1 1/2 c. white flour
2 c. oatmeal
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
Chocolate chips

Add dry mix to blended mix. Spoon out on cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees, just long enough to turn light brown... too long, makes cookies hard... just right and they are soft and chewy.
