SPAETZLE 
2 c. sifted flour
1-1/2 tsp. salt
2/3 c. milk
4 eggs
1/2 c. butter
1 c. bread cubes

Combine flour, salt, milk, and eggs. Stir until mixture is blended; then beat 5 minutes.

Place small amount of batter on spaetzle board held over 4-quart saucepan of boiling, salted water. With a silver knife, cut off small pieces, about 1/2 inch long, and drop into boiling water. Cook 5 minutes. Drain and rinse with cold water.
