GERMAN COFFEE CAKE 
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. butter
1 1/4 c. sugar
2 eggs, well beaten
1 c. commercial sour ream
2 tsp. vanilla
2 1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda

TOPPING:

1 c. chopped nut meats
1/3 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. white sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon

Mix topping.

Cream the butter, butter and sugar; beat until fluffy. Add beaten eggs, sour cream, and vanilla; mix. Add sifted flour, baking powder and soda and beat well.

Put 1/2 batter in 13x9 well-buttered tin. Sprinkle with 1/2 topping. Put in rest of batter. Sprinkle on rest of topping. Bake 40 minutes in 325 degree oven.
