GERMAN COFFEE CAKE 
2 sticks butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. pecans
3 eggs
2 c. flour
1 (21 oz.) can apple pie filling
Cinnamon

Cream butter and sugar together. Add eggs and beat well. Add flour slowly, then vanilla and spread 1/2 of the batter in a greased and floured 9 x 13 inch pan. Spread pie filling over batter and sprinkle with cinnamon. Cover pie filling with rest of batter and sprinkle with pecans. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Serve warm.
