YEAST ROLLS 
2 pkg. yeast
1/2 c. warm water
1 egg
1 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. salt
2/3 c. shortening
2 c. all-purpose flour
2 c. hot water

Mix yeast with warm water; let sit. Mix egg, sugar, shortening, flour and hot water. Add yeast mixture. Add flour; work dough. Brush top with oil; cover with cloth. Let rise until double in size. After dough rises, may refrigerate until ready to use.

Turn dough out and knead 1 minute. Shape into roll shape. Place in pan and let rise again, until double in size.

Bake 15 minutes at 200°F. Turn oven up to 400°F and bake until golden brown.
