GRANDMA'S OATMEAL CAKE 
1 1/2 c. boiling water
1 c. Minute oatmeal, cook water and oatmeal and let cool
1 c. white sugar
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. Wesson oil
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt

ICING:

1 stick butter
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. milk
1 c. coconut
1 tsp. vanilla

Cook oatmeal in 1 1/2 cup boiling water, let cool. Sift together flour, cinnamon, soda and salt. Set aside.

In a mixing bowl, mix sugars with oil and eggs. Add oatmeal, mix well. Add flour mixture and mix well. Pour into a greased cake pan and bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes.

ICING: Cook all ingredients together until thick. Pour hot icing over cooled cake.
