GREEN PEPPER STEAK 
2 lbs. round steak, cut into 1 inch cubes
2 tbsp. butter
2 green pepper, cut into strisp
1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes
1 (10 1/2 oz.) can tomato puree
1 onion, thinly sliced
2 tbsp. soy sauce
1 c. water
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms

Brown meat on all sides in butter in large, heavy skillet. Add remaining ingredients, except mushrooms. Simmer, covered, for 1 to 1 1/2 hours or until meat is tender. Add mushrooms during last 10 minutes. Serve with rice. Makes 8 servings.
