1 pkg. Duncan Hines Deluxe II Yellow or White Cake Mix
3/4 c. Crisco shortening, melted and cooled
1 egg
2 tbsp. milk

Combine ingredients in a mixing bowl. Refrigerate 2 hours.

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Roll dough to 1/4 to 1/8 inch thickness on a lightly floured surface. Cut into desired shapes with floured cookie cutters. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Decorate as desired before or after baking.

Bake at 375 degrees for 6 to 10 minutes or until edges start to brown. Let cookies cool for several minutes on cookie sheet, then remove to racks to finish cooling. Store in airtight container. 5 to 6 dozen medium cookies.
