ELLEN'S PEANUT BUTTER BALLS 
1 lb. confectioners' sugar
1 (18 oz.) jar creamy peanut butter
1 stick soft butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate morsels
2 tbsp. shortening

Mix sugar, peanut butter, butter and vanilla. Shape into small balls (nickel diameter) and chill for several hours.

Melt chocolate morsels and shortening together until smooth. Drop balls in (one at a time), coat thoroughly and cool on waxed paper. Keep refrigerated.
