PERSIMMON COOKIES 
1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 c. strained persimmon pulp
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 egg, beaten
2 c. flour, sifted
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. nuts
1 c. raisins or dates

Cream well butter and sugar. Add soda to persimmon pulp. Add beaten egg to pulp. Mix creamed sugar and butter to pulp. Add flour, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg and salt. Mix well. Add nuts, raisins or dates. Drop by teaspoon on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes.
