FRUIT CAKE 
1 1/2 lbs. dates
1 1/2 lbs. pineapple (candied)
1 lb. cherries (candied)
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
4 eggs, beaten
1 c. sugar
8 c. pecans

Cut pineapple and dates and place in a very large bowl. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Pour flour mixture over the fruit and mix well. Mix eggs and sugar together in a separate bowl, then pour over fruit mixture. Add pecans and mix well. Bake in 3 or 4 loaf pans at 275 degrees for 1 to 1 1/2 hours. Wrap well to store.
