COUNTRY STEAK AND CHILI GRAVY 
2 lbs. round steak
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 egg, beaten with 2 tbsp. water
1 c. finely crushed cornflakes
1 tsp. chili powder
1/4 tsp. Wesson oil
1 med. sliced onion
1 sm. sliced green pepper
2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
3/4 c. water

Trim all fat off. Beat with meat mallet. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Dip into egg, then into crushed corn flakes mixed with chili powder. Heat oil in large skillet. Brown meat on both sides. Add onion and green pepper. Pour in tomato sauce and water. Cover and simmer for 1 to 1 1/2 hours.
