COCONUT POUND CAKE 
1 c. Crisco
2 c. sugar
5 eggs
2 c. plain flour
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. coconut flavoring
1 can angel flake coconut or fresh coconut (1 c.)

Cream sugar and Crisco. Add eggs, one at a time; beat well. Add flour, salt, baking powder alternated with buttermilk. Add coconut flavoring beating well. Fold in coconut. Bake at 350 degree oven for 1 hour. Let stand in pan 5 minutes. Drizzle with Glaze.

GLAZE:

1 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. water
1 tsp. coconut flavoring
