CHERRY OR PINEAPPLE NUT CAKE 
1/2 lb. butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 c. self-rising flour
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped nuts

Mix ingredients in order given. Spread 3/4 of dough evenly in well greased 9x13 pan. Spread 1 can cherry or pineapple pie filling on dough. Spoon remainder of dough on fruit and bake at 350 degrees.
