OAT-RAISIN BREAD 
Made with whole wheat flour, oats and raisins, this healthful bread is a good source of fiber.

1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 c. whole wheat flour
1 c. uncooked quick or old-fashioned oats
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. buttermilk
1/2 c. Karo Light or Dark Corn Syrup
1/2 c. packed brown sugar
1/4 c. Mazola Corn Oil
1 c. raisins

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour two 9x5x3 inch loaf pans. In large bowl, combine flours, oats, baking soda and salt. In small bowl, combine eggs, buttermilk, corn syrup, brown sugar and corn oil until blended. Stir into flour mixture just until moistened. Stir in raisins. Pour batter into prepared pans.

Bake 45 to 50 minutes or until wooden toothpick inserted into centers comes out clean. Cool in pans on wire racks 10 minutes. Remove from pans; cool on wire rack. Makes 2 loaves, 24 slices.

Prep time: 15 minutes. Bake time: 50 minutes plus cooling.
