COFFEE CAKE DELUX 
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 - 1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
2/3 c. shortening
1 c. buttermilk
2 eggs

Sift dry ingredients together and set aside.

Mix together thoroughly: brown sugar, white sugar, shortening, buttermilk and eggs. Add dry ingredients and mix thoroughly. Pour in greased 9"x13" pan.

Top with:

1/2 c. white sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 30 minutes.

NOTE: May be mixed the night before, complete with topping, covered and refrigerated for baking in the morning.
