1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
1/2 c. shortening
2 whole eggs
1 c. sour milk
2 1/2 c. sifted flour
1 1/2 sqs. chocolate, melted
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda in a little hot water

Put all ingredients in electric mixer and beat Put in melted chocolate and soda mixture in last.

FROSTING:

2 c. white sugar
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. dark syrup
1 sq. chocolate

Cook until forms soft ball, beat, and add vanilla and black walnuts.
