SOFT GINGERBREAD 
1/4 c. butter or lard
1/2 c. sugar
1 c. molasses
1 tbsp. cinnamon
2 1/4 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda dissolved in 1 c. boiling water
2 beaten eggs

Cream butter or lard and sugar. Add molasses, cinnamon, flour, soda dissolved in boiling water. Mix well. Add beaten eggs. Bake at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes.
