GERMAN CHOCOLATE POUND CAKE | |
2 c. sugar 1 c. Crisco 4 eggs 2 tsp. vanilla 2 tsp. butter flavoring 1 c. buttermilk 3 c. sifted all-purpose flour 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. salt 1 pkg. German sweet chocolate Cream sugar and Crisco. Add eggs, flavoring and buttermilk. Sift flour, soda and salt; add to creamed mixture. Mix well. Add softened sweet chocolate and blend well. Bake in 2 loaf pans that have been greased and floured. Bake 1 1/2 hours at 300 degrees. Remove from pan while hot and place under tight-fitting cake cover. Leave covered until cooled. |
