GERMAN CRINKLES 
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. vegetable shortening
2/3 c. granulated sugar replacement
2 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 1/2 oz. melted baking chocolate
1/3 c. skim milk
1 1/4 c. hazel nuts, finely ground

Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Set aside. Cream shortening, sugar replacement and vanilla. Beat in eggs and melted chocolate. Alternately, add flour mixture with milk to creamed mixture. Blend in hazel nuts. Chill 4 hours.

Form into balls. Place on greased cookie sheet with space for cookies to spread. Bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes. Cool slightly; remove from pan.
