GINGER CRINKLE COOKIES 
3/4 c. shortening
1 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. molasses
1 egg
2 1/4 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. cinnamon

Cream together shortening, sugar, molasses and egg until mixture is fluffy. Stir dry ingredients into molasses mixture. Chill several hours. Form in small balls. Roll in granulated sugar. Place two inches apart on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees about 10 minutes. Makes five dozen.
