CARAMEL BARS 
3/4 c. melted butter
1 c. flour
1 c. oatmeal
3/4 c. brown sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 bag caramels
5 tbsp. milk
6 oz. chocolate chips
1 c. chopped nuts

Mix first 6 ingredients and pat 3/4 of it into 9 x 13-inch pan.

Bake 10 minutes at 350°F.

Meanwhile, melt 32 caramels and mix with 5 tablespoons of milk. Pour over crust. Sprinkle on chocolate chips and nuts. Sprinkle on rest of the dough and bake 5 minutes more at 400°F.
