HOT ROLL MIX 
2 c. lukewarm water
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. sugar
3 pkgs. dry yeast
1 egg
1/4 c. shortening
6 1/2 - 7 c. flour

Mix all ingredients. Add flour in two equal parts. Knead until elastic (5 to 10 minutes). Place in greased bowl and let rise to double size. Make rolls 1 to 1 1/2 hours before baking. Bake at 375 degrees for 15 minutes. Makes 32 to 36 rolls.
