1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
Vegetable spray (Pam)
1 tsp. baking powder
1 3/4 c. flour
Egg white, beaten with 1 tsp. water
Colored sugars

Cream butter and sugar. Add egg and vanilla. Mix well. Add flour and baking powder. Chill 3 hours.

Roll dough 1/4 inch thick. Cut with cookie cutters. Place on cookie sheet sprayed with Pam, brush with beaten egg whites, sprinkle with decorating sugars. Bake at 375 degrees for 10-15 minutes. For crisper cookies - roll to 1/8 inch thickness.
