DOUBLE DECK BROWNIES 
1 c. sugar
1/4 c. shortening
2 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. cake flour, sifted
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1 sq. unsweetened chocolate, melted
1/2 c. coconut

Cream sugar and shortening. Add eggs, vanilla, flour and salt. Add melted chocolate and nuts to one half of batter. Spread in 9x9 inch pan. To remaining batter add 1/2 cup coconut. Spread over chocolate batter. Bake 350 degrees 25-30 minutes.

FROSTING:

1 c. brown sugar
3 tbsp. butter
4 tbsp. cream

Bring to a boil. Remove from heat. Add 1/2 cup chocolate chips. Stir until chips are melted. Pour over cooled baked bars.
