REPORT CARD DAY BARS 
1/2 c. evaporated milk
1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
60 Kraft caramels
1/3 c. evaporated milk
3/4 c. melted butter
1 c. chopped nuts
6 oz. chocolate chips (1 c.)

Take 1/2 cup evaporated milk and 60 caramels and stir over very low heat until melted. Set aside. In large bowl, combine German chocolate cake mix, melted butter, 1/3 cup evaporated milk and nuts. Grease and flour 13 x 9 inch pan and spread 1/2 cake mixture in pan. Bake 8 minutes at 350 degrees. Remove from oven, put chocolate chips, then caramel, then the other 1/2 of the cake mixture in the pan. Put in oven for 20 minutes. Cool slightly and refrigerate for caramel to set. Cut in squares when cooled.
